Major photo update!

First of all, MERRY CHRISTMAS! It's a bit late for Christmas but whatever. It only happens once a year. The year is almost coming to an end. For the millionth time, I cant believe it's almost 2014! December just went by so fast... I was busy working almost everyday before Christmas then Christmas eve came, followed by Christmas and Boxing Day and now it's the 29th. Btw, I mostly only work 4-hour shifts but it always feels longer than that. Maybe because it takes half an hour to walk to work and another half an hour back home. But i'm really enjoying it, being able to get out of my aunt's flat and do something useful and EARN MONEY, just makes time pass faster.

I had a nice Christmas. Being away from my family during Christmas made me miss them even more... seeing families coming in to Paperchase to do their Christmas shopping and enjoying their time spent tgt made me emotional... But I tried to keep myself busy and tried not to linger too much thoughts on it. On the Sunday before Christmas, I went out with my colleagues for dinner! We went to an Italian restaurant in Watford and it was a free dinner (the company paid for it)! I cant rmb the names of the main course I ordered but it was super yummy~ and the dessert I ordered was a vanilla gelato with cream, raspberries and strawberries! It was delicious~ I nearly went for the chocolate cake but I resisted; told myself that I needed to try something different! Plus, I had a double vodka with coke ;) We played Heads Up (google it if your don't know about it)! and I laughed so much~ I havent laughed so much in a very long time. I should've taken photos of my food but I didnt want to be the typical-Asian. LOL

On Christmas eve, I worked for 6 hours. Those few days before Christmas was the busiest, I would be standing at the till for half an hour straight, with the queue not stopping. Those were the only times where time seemed to have passed really fast. Normally, if i'm not on the till then I'll be on the shop floor walking around and tidying stuff and greeting ppl, which is boriiiing. After worked, I had a nice simple dinner with my aunt and spent hours in front of the TV trying hard not to fall asleep before getting ready to go for the midnight mass! In Malaysia, although we say it's a "midnight" mass, it doesnt start at midnight, it mostly ends at midnight. But here, it starts at midnight! ngl, I fell asleep halfway through the mass, just for a few seconds. I was so tired.... I sang a lot of carols though, that was nice. Mass ended at 1.30am and I went to bed at 3am because I was stupid not to wrap my aunt's present earlier. Also because i only managed to buy her present on the 23rd hehehe. I bought her spicy cashew nuts, which taste really nice, I want to get some for myself too~ I also got her earl gray and chamomile tea. I myself am a big fan of earl gray, maybe i can drink one or two tea bags while she's not around. LOL I really want to get myself some instant coffee though, it's so awful to wake up early these days, especially in the cold weather.

On Christmas day, I woke up at 10am. I think it's the first time I woke so late since I came to live with my aunt. But it was such a good night's sleep! Woke up feeling totally refreshed and ready for Christmas! Christmas mornings are for presents... and I thought my aunt wasnt getting me anything because she got me two jumpers a few months ago which was supposed to be my Christmas presents but her friend accidentally mentioned it while we were talking so my aunt just gave it to me at that time. But my aunt got me some presents! She bought me a really nice dress which I really love~ and some Jaffa cakes!!!! I LOVE THEM. My aunt seemed happy about the present I got her too. :)
We then went over to Aunty Chung and Uncle Peter's for a Christmas feast! We had smoked salmon, roast beef and some roast vege. For pudding, we has mince pies, Christmas pudding, and bread and butter pudding! Oh, and cant forget the nice wine~ I was so full by the end of the day. I got some presents from them too. And we watched a lot of TV, we watched the 2-hr Downton Abbey Christmas special~

On the 26th, we went to another of my aunt's friend's house for another feast. We has smoked salmon and some seafood for starters. I'm now a fan of salmon. Please give me more~~~ We also had chicken casserole and garlic bread. All very yummy. Had mince pies and bread n butter pudding again~ and a lot of tea which made me so bloated. Although all these Western traditional Christmas food were very very yummy, it made me miss the traditional Msian-style Christmas meals --- CURRY!!!! LOL

Anyways.... I said I would update with photos the next time I blog... so I went to my files to see which are the photos I wanted to upload... only to notice that there's a shit load of photos that I haven't shown you guys yet! Even photos from before I came to the UK! So... if you don't mind, here they are! These are just from the month of September, will post others in the next post!

have i posted this photo before? it was taken on the 31st of August O___O
and omg just noticed my dry cracked lips. i always forget my chapstick when i go to church.

LOL found this. I twitted this to Yongxuan once i saw it. LOL
I daydream a lot too. I've actually forgot to give customers their change or gave the wrong change while I was working on the till. This has happened multiple times within a month and both my managers has given me warnings about it. yikes....

 #exactlyme #majorprocrastinator

This was on the 7th of September. The weekend before I left for the UK. We were suppose have dinner together as a family, but Thaniel had to go to his dance studio. Boooo. And I wanted to go try Uncle Jang's korean food but the queue was too long so we went to another Korean restaurant in Molek which serve amazing food. I want to eat korean food now!!!!! All their banchan are delicious. I just love Korean food.

If you know me well, I cant go have Korean food without having my favourite ddeokboki!!!!
The ddeokboki with fried chicken at SS15's Street Cafe is still my fav though. Someone ship it to me please~~~ We also ordered a seafood stew/soup that day. I'm so hungry now *swallows saliva*

 with Mummy~~

kekekeke I finished it all by myself.

I just thought it would be a waste if i didnt take a selca in this dress. hehehe I even went out for a night walk with my mum in it.

The next day when Thaniel was home, we cut my advance bday cake! It was a peanut butter and chocolate chip mille crepe cake. ughhh all of these are favourite food..... i'm really hungry. I think this cake was from Humble Beginnings and my mum ordered it online for me.

On the 9th of September, met with secondary school friends for a last gathering before I left. I miss all the laughter alr.

I also miss wearing t-shirt, shorts and flip flops. TT_____TT

 happy times :')

I rmb i blogged before i left. So i can go read what happened on the 10th of September.
Here, already at Changi Airport. At the departure hall. On the 11th of September.
I regret buying that hoodie. it doesnt look nice and it doesnt keep my arms warm.

 kekekeke

by the look of my dark eye circles, i obviously havent been sleeping well.
but i didnt want to wear make-up on a 12 hour flight.

I miss everyone back at home.

Arrived safely at Heathrow airport! I actually went to the wrong queue when i went through immigration and spent more than an hour to get out. and look at my luggage! I brought so little stuff with me. Should've brought more. but my aunt would nag again if i were to bring more stuff.

On the 14th of September. First time to Queen Mary University for registration.
I still cant believe i wore that hoodie ugh

The venue where the registration was at.

This is the main building you see when you enter my uni's compound.

after I registered myself, my aunt and I took a double decker bus just to try out how to get back to Euston from Mile End by bus just in case the Tube is not in service.

This is what I need to see and go through everytime I need to get to uni... the Tube. not the most efficient but I have no choice.

Just to show what my lecture halls look like. LOL sry to the two guys in front of me.

and our library. this is not where i normally sit but just a view of it.

This is just to show how huge the Tesco is in Watford. It probably sells everything. I've only been there once though, it's too far from my aunt's place.

from my instagram, you might alr know that I went on a walk alone one day to a park called Cassiobury Park. i wont want to go there now in the winter though.

those are house boats and there was a guy trying to move it from one side to the other.

 beautiful and serene willow trees.

 a tree with blue leaves!

a huge field. it would've been so nice if i had someone to accompany me on walks.

someone requested to see my room LOL so here are some photos. My aunt's flat is small but cozy and nice. I can imagine myself having a flat like this for myself in the future.

I have two closets in my room but i most of it, my aunt uses for storage LOL I dont have much clothing yet.
and fyi, these photos were taken back in September.

I have my own small bathroom in my room, which is very convenient.

I really want to decorate my room to make it more of  my style but i dont think my aunt will allow it.
she may allow it but she'll nag about me wasting money so whatever.
this was the view from my window in September. It looks different now.

my aunt's kitchen/dining area. I spent most of my time here coz my aunt doesnt like me staying in my room all day. =____=

the sitting area. simple and nice.

the view from the kitchen but the view is totally different right now.
there's no leaves left on the trees anymore.

oh and a photo of the shower LOL. it's super small. I fit perfectly in it. If you're bigger in size than me, you'll probably knock your elbows 20 times while taking a shower. hahahaha

my S3's camera automatically beautifies photos, so jsyk, my skin isnt that perfect. and i have make up on.

This was on the 28th of September. I went on a brief London tour with Queen Mary's Msian Society.
Lucikly the weather was nice on that day.

I love bread. I love buns. I love pastries. This was at Borough Market.

All kinds of chocolate!

Brownies~~~

I hope i'm not wrong, but i think it's a hare and a pheasant?

LOL me and my brownie. kekekeke

the only photo I took with Elaine. I havent got the chance to meet her again after that day because she's a medic student, thus, very busy and we just could never find a suitable day to meet. :(

a candid shot of me and Elaine. We were talking about kpop, which explains why we look so excited haha

On the 28th, my aunt's friend from Msia came over to stay with us for a few weeks and on the 29th, we were invited to dinner by my aunt's friends Aunty Chung and Uncle Peter.

Uncle Peter was really kind to give me a ride in his convertible! The last time i was in a convertible i think it was 10 years ago!

Aunty Chung plants some vege and flowers in her garden and they were all still pretty in autumn!

This was taken on my bday!

you might alr know by now that I love Jaffa cakes. I rmb the taste of it so clearly from 10 years ago when I first tasted it when I came to the UK with my uncle. And I bought a huge box of it for myself on my bday!
And that's all the photos for now!
