Another Busy Month

By the amount of photos you see here, you can know that I didn't get up to much in August either. There were those few fun outings with my girlfriends but other than those times, I just spent my time working. I'm not complaining though, I loved that I got to fill up my summer with work and earn some money in order to be able to go shopping afterwards~ kekeke Jokes. I actually really need to save up for a new laptop. This current one is annoying me so much.

02082015: One big change in the month of August was that I moved out of my old flat and moved in with Nia~ I've been wanting to move out very badly since April/May, especially during my exam period. When I was supposed to be revising for my exams, I was room hunting online; scrolling through 'London Room To Rent' Facebook groups, through Gumtree and SpareRoom... I was stressed out. I even paid to register myself on SpareRoom in order to contact some people on the website, that was how desperate I was. I even went for a viewing! But then I told Nia about this and discussed it with her and she advised me not to stress about moving at that time and focus on my exams. And after our exams, she told me some good news! And it was that one of her flatmate is going to move out soon and I could move in if I wanted to! And of course I wanted to~
But.... that flatmate of hers won't be moving out until (earliest) December... So she offered me to stay in her room for now until that flatmate moves out which we were both totally fine with.
So now, we're living together harmoniously lol

My moving-out day was the worst though. I was so stressed. Packing to begin with was a pain and I had to move everything by myself from my previous flat to Nia's. I altogether had to make 4 trips in order to move everything over. At one point, I was so stressed and on the edge of crying because I thought all my glassware broke in the midst of moving them. I called Nia and said, "I think all my plates broke! What am I going do?!" And she very calmly asked me to go back upstairs to my flat and make sure everything was alright. And I did. And nothing broke. lol
Anyway, the main point is that I managed to do all the moving myself without breaking anything or hurting myself.

And after moving in with Nia, I was able to live with these two super adorable kitties~
The ginger one is called Cheese and the black one is Ham. kekekeke
Nia is just taking care of them while their owner went home for the summer. And unfortunately, Cheese has already left us to go back to its owner but Ham is still with us~ Ham is the cutest and most affectionate thing ever! I would miss it very much if it leaves us.
And please don't misunderstand and think that we are abusing the cats by tying them up. Nia had a very good reason to do so.

09082015: On this day, I went out with my colleagues Linda and Hema to go to the Korean Festival at Trafalgar Square. I'm quite sure I took some photos but I think my old phone broke down (and I lost all my data) before I could transfer them to my laptop.
It was a fun experience but it was really crowded and hot that day. But some of the performances were really good!
After the we left the festival, I brought them to Chinatown to have Malaysian food at Rasa Sayang but the food wasn't that good.... I still prefer Roti King
14082015: That Thursday, after work, I went to meet up with Nia and two of her friends (Ellen and Trang), at Soho for dinner. We went to Eat Tokyo and the food was soooo good. But Nia and Trang had to queue for quite a long time before they could get a table though. By the time I got there, they were already seated and ordered food.
After dinner, we headed home and Ellen and Trang stayed over for the night~

17082015: I met up with Nia, Kelly and Phuong for an early dinner that day~ I rmb it was a Monday and I had to go volunteer and rush to meet Nia near Aldgate East. We sat down at a cafe and had coffee first before we headed to The Breakfast Club for early dinner. The food wasn't that good though.... We were quite disappointed....

 The burger was nice though
 The pancakes were nice too~
Just another usual day for the kitty

22082015: We cooked pancakes for breakfast that morning~ And I went to work with a very full stomach kekeke

More photos of this cutie~

Short and Sweet

I didn't really get up to much in July as I spent most of my time working :(
But these are some photos are the few fun stuff I did besides working and sleeping lol

02072015: This was probably taken when I finished reading this book which only took me around 3 days to finish. And that is fast for me as I'm a super duper slow reader. I would recommend everyone to read this book as it was an easy one to read and very exciting at the same time. The ending is just... mind-blowing.
11072015: Not the best nail art but I was bored and needed some fun in my life.

13072015: The three of us, Nia, Kar Kai and I, having our occasional girly sessions~
I remember this was when Kar Kai came back from her trip to New York and Nia has started working for a while and I was busy at work. And around the time I took this photo, my manager called me to ask me to work 8am to 8pm one day that week, and I said yes. sigh.
But yeah... that day, Kar Kai brought us some of the goodies she bought from New York for us~ I asked her to buy me Kat Von D eyeliner which I'm loving at the moment!

After having our coffee and snacks, we went to Soho to Hi Sushi to have unlimited sushi lol

14072015: On the next day, I met up with my aunt in London! A family friend from Canada came to visit her so she wanted to meet with me and visit Brick Lane. So I showed them around Brick Lane and the Whitechapel area and went to have lunch at a really nice Indian restaurant around that area. We even went to have coffee/tea at a Singaporean cafe after that.
Then, my aunt asked me if I wanted to join them to go to the Royal Academy for an art exhibition so I was like, Why not?

This is amazing. You can actually see the exact street I live on!

26072015: Once again, Nia, Kar Kai and I met up but this time to have a belated birthday celebration for our dearest Nia~ Our original plan was to go to Hyde Park to have a picnic but it was pouring like crazy that day so we decided to go to Whole Foods' food court! Thankfully they didn't shoo us out for eating outside food in there. Nia brought the sandwiches, Karkai brought the cake and the champagne and I brought fruits and snacks~

I really need to find out how to take a group photo and focus on everyone's faces.....
We then made our way to Chinatown for dinner~
Then we went to Leicester Square to just chat more and chill~
This is like our spot now. Always after we have dinner around the area, we'll come sit here afterwards to just chill because it's too early to go home.
And we took a lot of fail polaroid photos kekeke
28072015: I met up with one of my ex-colleagues, Linda, that day~ We have been saying we wanted to go to Hi Sushi for unlimited sushi for ages but we could never find a suitable day so we were very glad to finally get to meet outside of work that day! But we accidentally ordered wayyyy too much sushi that day and had to suffer a food coma after that meal.....

Things I Got Up To In June

Quite a self-explanatory title... kekeke so let's carry on~

07062015: This day, I met up with Veronica and went to Camden Market! Almost every time we meet, we go to Oxford Street and it started getting a bit boring. So since Veronica said she hasn't been to Camden Market in a long time, I suggested we go there because I haven't been there in a while as well. But I have to say that it might have been a bad idea because it was so packed on a nice sunny Sunday afternoon. We each had a burrito from one of the stalls and sat next to the canal while we ate it. After that, we went to a pub called The Engineer to have a drink. You can see here in front of me, I have a classic glass of Pimm's~
We then made our way over to Regent's Park.
After walking through the park, we still made our way back to Oxford Street lol. We went to John Lewis to have a cup of coffee and then went to the movies near Covent Garden. I can't remember what movie we watched.... which probably means the movie wasn't very good....

09062015: This appeared on my doorstep that morning and I cannot imagine my excitement! Since I came to the UK, I haven't been buying any of Beast's albums. If you have following my blog for a while, you'll know I buy each and every one of their album. So when I saw MNet was selling a signed version of Hyunseung's album, I bought it immediately without any hesitation.
I still wish I can buy the albums but I missed out on but I'm currently slightly broke (well, going to be. coz lots of expenses coming up) so no chance of getting them soon.

Very annoyed by the folded poster.
On that same day, later in the afternoon, I went to uni to print some stuff (coz I don't own a printer) and I don't know why I would have my camera with me at that time but then took a photo of the clock tower at uni.
And also took a photo of the view of the city from Mile End Road.
After I went to uni, I went to Roti King again to fill my belly with yummy Malaysian food. But this time around, I went with Ben~ We met and caught up a bit on each other's lives before he went on holiday and went back home for the summer.

10062015: Not much to say about this lol except that I love the combination of mint and coral!

15062015: The day I cut my hair!
At that time, it felt like I cut off a lot of my hair but now looking at these photos, it doesn't seem like I cut off a lot. That day, before the hairdresser cut my hair, she was like, "Are you sure you want to cut off that much?" I went, ".....nooooo.... but just do it."
I ended up really happy with it and glad that I decided to add some layers in coz the last time I cut my hair, I went for a straight cut. I feel like going even shorter now~

30062015: Not a very good quality photo to start with... but this was taken on my S3 in very bad lighting lol. I was at the Oxfam I volunteered at over the summer; I started volunteering on the 1st of June and did it till earlier this month. I mostly just scanned books to check their value and uploaded them online to sell. It was a nice experience and I met a few nice people there and met a fellow k-pop fan that also goes to Queen Mary~

Just so you know, this day was my first (and only) day off after working 7 days in a row (it was during the summer sale period)! After volunteering in the morning, I went to Oxford Street to meet Nia after she has finished work as well. The first shop we went to was obviously H&M~ I feel like I only do my (clothes) shopping there nowadays. Then we went to John Lewis to have a free slice of cake and something to drink while we chatted until the cafe closed lol. Then we walked around a bit more before we went to have dinner.

I remember I spent quite a lot of money that day.... yikes. I bought some clothes and a new bag and a pair of sandals.... but after working 7 days in a row, it felt nice to spend some money lol. The next day, when I went to work again, my manager asked me what I did on my precious day off. When I told him I went shopping, he was like, "You spend so much of your time in a store already, why would you go shopping on your day off?" I didn't really say anything to that but you know, it's different when you're the one spending the money and getting served by someone else.

We decided to go to Shoryu since I had never tried it before~ And it was delicious~ I personally think it's better than the other ramen(s) I've tried in London!

Here's a photo of the adorable Nia before I end this post~ kekeke
