June 2013 Vacation : Day 4 & 5 HONG KONG!

We planned Day 4 to be our shopping day! But we didnt really buy a lot of stuff...
Before we headed to the shopping centers, we went to have some dim sum for breakfast!

i'm not familiar with chinese food but i know everytime i go have dim sum, the aunties would order this and i love it~

 yummy yummy food~

I didnt take many photos that day because we were mostly just walking around shops.
that morning, we went too early to Harbour City and most of the shops were not open yet... LOL. so we walked to H&M first but didnt end up buying anything.
Harbour City is huge and it was soooo tiring to walk from one end to the other. Plus there was so many shops and it was so confusing. We spend a lot of time just finding the shop we wanted to go to.
But we managed to go to American Apparel and they had a sale going on! I only bought a singlet for my bro which i ended up borrowing to wear last Sunday LOL. it looked really nice but i dunno why Thaniel doesnt seem to like it or maybe he just hasnt found the right occasion to wear it yet.
We were really hungry by 2pm, so we had lunch at a fast food restaurant called Cafe de Coral (if i didnt rmb wrongly XD). it was nice to finally sit down!!! my legs were alr tired half-way through the day.

I managed to buy this!!! Liole's BB Cream~~~
I've been looking this forever~~~ i saw missglamorazzi raving about it about a year or two ago and have been wanting to find it ever since. i actually found it in Sunway Pyramid's Muse just a few days before our trip and it was RM79.9 (i think)! and i was like, NO! I would not allow myself to spend so much money before i go to HK! so, i told myself that if i have extra money when i come back from my trip, i'll go buy it.
but guess how much i bought this at ColourMix in Harbour City??? it was on a sale where if you buy two, you get a discount. both Yx and I bought one each and we only paid HK$96 each. convert over to ringgit is RM40!!! dont you just love a sale??? >__<
i've used it twice now and i'm loving it~~~

this was an excess purchase. TT___TT i dont want to talk about it.... the sales girl kinda pushed me into buying it but i wanted it myself too. so cant put the blame all on her. i havent heard of this brand before but when the lady tested out the cleanser on my hand, it worked amazingly! and i really wanted the cleanser!!! but it was too expensive.... so i bought this serum instead.... now i kinda regret buying it....

After lunch, we actually went back to our guesthouse for a bit to use the wifi.
I really wanted to find a Nature Republic store because i really wanted one of their lipsticks i saw in Macau but failed in finding one.... TT___TT instead, we headed to Sasa and i managed to find one that i liked but when i came home, i realized it wasnt as natural and casual-looking as i wanted it to be, so i'll need to hunt for another shade when i go shopping the next time....
after some walking around the shops, we continued walking and headed towards the promenade!

On our way there, we passed by The Peninsula. i once went to their website to check out the room rates and i think their rates start from at least HK$4500..... yikes...

we also passed by 1881 Heritage!

the clock tower by the Tsim Sha Tsui promenade!

the beautiful sunset~ this was when it was more windy and the weather was getting cooler.

tried the panorama view thing again~ not as blurry as before!

the view of HK's skyline during day time!

we sat at the promenade for about half an hour because we were so tired and we couldnt decide on whether to stay till 8pm for the light show. We then decided to walk towards the Avenue of Stars~

added my feet into the photo so that it doesnt look like any other photo of these hand prints you'll find online. LOL

blurry candid photo of us. kekeke we got thirsty and we found a vending machine and bought Vitasoy!

the light show was okay... not that interesting but the lights were really nice~~~~
from a blog, the blogger wrote that we should thank those hard-working workers who works over time so that the lights in their offices will still be on and we can get this amazing night view~ LOL

 The Peninsula at night~

after the light show was over, we made our way over to Mong Kok which is said to be "the most congested shopping and residential district". it was really crowded..... i couldnt even take many photos due to the crowd.

some street entertainers singing some old-school songs and all the auntie and uncles where dancing on the street! that's definitely a view you dont get to see everyday!

We walked along all the night markets and bought something to eat! i bought these chocolate flavoured 雞蛋仔 which wasnt very chocolatey at all.
We also bought some phone cases and failed to bargain with the shop owners. we did witness a korean trying to bargain but ended up walking away and being cussed by the shop owner LOL.
We were also very thirsty by that time and wanted to find somewhere to sit and have a drink but it was so hard to find a place where there were tables. most of  them were stalls so we went to Hui Lau Shan again~
after that, we went back to our guesthouse as we were so damn tired.
my legs hurt the most that night, even just laying my legs on the bed hurt. TT___TT

DAY 5! Last day  of our trip..... :(((
Despite the very hot weather, i had a really great time seeing and experiencing a different culture for a few days. and about the experience with Cantonese.... fyi, i cant speak or understand Cantonese. So i had a hard time understanding what ppl were saying on this trip. i always had to awkwardly tell ppl who talked to me in Cantonese that i couldnt understand them. but there were times where i tried to understand them first but obviously failed. XD
another thing was that I dont think we really tried a lot of  food while we traveling. The both of us didnt get hungry very often. LOL we didnt have fixed meals, we just ate whenever we felt like it.

Anyhow.... in the morning of our last day, we had breakfast at another local fast-food chain named Fairwood! i guess these are the places most local ppl eat at.
i must say that their fish fillet is better than a lot of other fish fillets (that are around the same price range) i've eaten in Msia.

back at our guesthouse, this happened. LOL it actually happened everytime we tried to enter our room. there was something weird with our door knob. no matter how many times the both of us tried o unlock it, it just wouldnt! and we had to ask the admin at the desk to help us and they unlocked the door so effortlessly with just one try! i dunno what went wrong LOL

at 11am, we gathered our stuff and checked-out of our guesthouse.
and left for Macau again!
took the ferry back to Macau~

we took the Venetian's shuttle bus back to The Venetian because Yx wanted to buy some souvenirs.
on the way there, we had the chance of an overview of the beautiful scenery of Macau again. we passed by Macau Tower again~
Maybe because it was a Friday, The Venetian was packed with ppl. It was so scary, ppl every where!
We wanted to stay a bit longer and walk around but there was too many ppl around so we decided to go straight to the airport. Took a shuttle bus from Sheraton Hotel to the airport~ I'm really thankful for those shuttle buses hahahaha we managed to save so much on transport!
We had McDeees at the airport~ and a funny thing happened, okay, maybe not that funny, but Yx lost a bag of souvenirs that she just bought at The Venetian while we were going through immigration.
We were just mentioning while we were having lunch that our trip was quite successful, we didnt really get lost and nothing bad happened. and i think that jinxed us. LOL
Yx did try to go find it but, according to her, the officers there were very fierce so she didnt manage to find it.
other than that, i can say that our trip was quite successful!
Before we went on this trip, whenever we mentioned to anyone that we were going to Macau and HK, just the two of us, ppl will be like, "wah, you two must be careful leh!" my mum and my uncle worried a lot too. but we had each other, so we werent so worried ourselves, not until a few days before our trip at least kekeke. but truthfully, when you have someone with you, you dont worry as much. and i must say, besides the fact that we are both very indecisive, it was nice traveling with just the two of us. Turned out, Yx is a lot better with directions than i am hahaha. and i really hope we get to travel to somewhere else again one day!

The last selca we took at LCCT before we got into our taxi and headed back to Subang...
and apparently, LCCT's taxi counters closes at around 11pm, so if you ever travel late at night like we did, make sure you arrange your transport, or else you'll need to get a taxi outside the airport and it will cost you a lot.
oh, and a funny thing that happened at the airport... while we were waiting for our taxi to arrive, we went to Old Town to have a cup of coffee. and when I went to order, the waiter talked to me in Malay... I was like, in Macau and HK, ppl talk to me in Cantonese and once i'm back in Msia, ppl talk to me in malay. and i know, you're most probably saying that i'm back in msia, definitely ppl speak malay lah! but the waiter was chinese.... he spoke to the guy in front of me in chinese and he talked to me in malay.... he thought i was malay.... TT_____TT whatever though... i'm used to it alr.

So... that's the end of my posts on my June 2013 vacation~~~~
I kept procrastinating and spent a lot of time editing my photos.... but finally, they're all up now!
it's alr almost mid-July.... sigh... why must time pass by so fast.......
i dont want my holidays to end.... i want to stay home everyday and be lazy....

and now i miss Yongxuan alr.... TT____TT
i've been in my room all day... not talking to anyone....

okay, that's all. cant wait for Beast's comeback!!! believe me, it's gonna be awesome. the photo they released today was the boys dressed in black and white. it's gonna be awesome. i love the boys dressed in black and white~~~ and Kikwang became a bad student while Yoseob became an honour student for the filming of Happy Together. DONGWOON NEEDS TO UPLOAD A PHOTO OF HIMSELF DRESSED IN SCHOOL UNIFORM!!!!!

June 2013 Vacation : Day 3 HONG KONG!

Day 3! We left our amazing hotel and went to Hong Kong!
Luckily Sheraton Hotel had shuttle bus services to the ferry terminal so we didnt need to spend a penny on transport!

 On the ferry!

We reached Hong Kong at around noon and there was so many ppl at the immigration and the queues were so long.
From there, we walked to our guesthouse~ we had a map with us so we didnt get lost but the roads around Tsim Sha Tsui were quite easy to get around.

The small guesthouse we stayed at for 2 nights is called Hop Inn!

some of the interior of our room~ from their website i saw that they have different designs for each room.
our room was very small but still had enough place for our luggage so it was okay.
the toilet was really small though and there wasnt a door, just shower curtains. LOL.

we didnt manage to get much sleep during our stay there.
so we were laughing at how we didnt want to get out of bed in Macau but in HK, we couldnt even get more sleep when we wanted to.

We actually had lunch before we checked in because our room wasnt ready yet when we first arrived.
I had roast duck at a restaurant a few shops away from the guesthouse. It was really nice. I normally dont eat the skin of roast chicken/duck, but i finished eating everything that day.
We then took the MTR to Central~ which is on the other island of HK where all the high-rises are located.
once we walked out of the MTR station, we were surrounded by high-rise buildings and it was a totally different view compared to Tsim Sha Tsui.

the weather was good but extremely hot.
we decided to check out the queue for The Peak Tram first and just walking there alr made us sweat.
since we planned to go up to The Peak in the evening, we still had time to walk around the Central area.

we stopped by briefly at this church named St. John's Cathedral.
it was so peaceful inside. we actually didnt know there was a church there. I saw a sign and suggested we pop in and have a look at it. it was beautiful~

have i ever mentioned how much i adore stained glass? i want to have them in my future home~

a part of the church building.

we then walked over to a busier part of Central where all the shops were at.
we passed by a lot of high-end shops before we got to the other shops.

i just had to take a photo of the MCM store~

all the stairs and hilly roads in HK.
we went window shopping at bit before we headed over to The Peak Tram.

it was hot and humid and crowded. we were tired and restless once again.
but i guess everyone were like us who chose to go up to the Peak in the evening where you get toenjoy both the day view and night view of HK's skyline.

and here it is!!! The view from the sky terrace! this was when it was close to 7pm i think.

all the lights started turning on!
i tried using my phone to take panoramic view but kinda failed....
 mansion on the mountain top!

this is the view of the other side of the Sky Terrace. so much more peaceful right?

the last time i visited The Peak, it was in the morning/afternoon, and now thinking back, it was such a waste because the night view is so much nicer!

when will be the next time i visit HK?

this is how the Sky Terrace looks like! We had a nice and simple dinner at one of the shops where one of the waiters was acting like a douche LOL

we then took a bus down from the peak to Central and our next stop was... Lan Kwai Fong!

I dunno whether it was because it was a week day or whether we were there too early (but we went there around 9 something pm), but Lan Kwai Fong wasnt as happening as we imagined it to be... as you can see from the photo, there wasnt much of a crowd.

we then walked around to check out the bars around the area and decided to go into a bar called Chocolate. i guess we or maybe mainly i chose it because of its name LOL. but no, i guess we saw that the atmosphere inside was nice and it wasnt too crowded for a place to sit and relax and talk.

I ordered a drink called Chocolate Covered Strawberry, it's one of their specialties, if i didnt rmb wrongly.
I'm not sure what was inside the drink, but i'm sure there was chocolate and vodka.
I know it may not look or sound nice but it was good~ the lady sitting at the table beside us ordered two of it.
Yongxuan ordered a.... drink with lychee in it. i dont rmb its name. i took a sip and liked it too~

after we paid our bill, the waitress came over and gave us two chocolate shots and said it was on the house!
once again, i dont know what was in it, but it was nice and sweet. cant even rmb how strong they were. not very i guess.
personally, i think this a place girls would prefer, coz from the menu i could see that most drinks were on the sweeter side. i enjoyed it~ and no, we didnt get drunk. XD

We then continued walking around the area and on the way to the MTR station, we spotted a Cotton On and decided to go in and they were having a lot of sales going on, so we shopped!
It was so nice to shop at night when there was less ppl and the weather was nicer too~ We tried shopping at H&M in the afternoon but there was so many ppl around so it was hard.
We then headed back to our guesthouse!
Our legs were hurting like crazy by then.... walking around HK the whole day is no joke....

last post on June 2013 Vacation will be up next~~~~
I finished watching the first season of Broadchurch today! If you're interested in those detective/ case-solving series, you should watch it! if you like Harper's Island like i did, you'll like Broadchurch!
Harper's Island was a lot more scarier though. I rmb freaking out while watching Harper's Island LOL
Feel like watching it again but it's no fun watching it when you alr know who's the killer.
okay, done, good night!
