June 2013 Vacation : Day 2 MACAU!

Our beds in our room were so comfy that we didnt want to wake up in the morning on day 2 kekeke
but eventually, we got ready by around 10am~

We wore dresses on day 2!
there's a funny story about our dresses LOL
2 days before our trip, we went to Sunway Pyramid to exchange some currency to use on our trip. that's what we planned to do. but then we decided to pop into Forever 21 to do some window shopping... but ended up buying these dresses. We saw these dresses in the store and we were like, "OMG They're so pretty~ Let's go try them out, we dont need to buy them, just try. " Initially i chose the blue dress and Yx chose the floral one. but after trying it, we decided to switch dresses to try them out. In the end, i thought the floral one suited my skin tone better and the blue one suited Yx's skin tone better.
We were going a little bit crazy in the fitting room deciding whether to get them, coz they werent cheap but we liked them so much. we ended up buying them, obviously. XD and ppl always seem to wear maxi dresses on vacations! LOL and i've always wanted a high-low dress~ >__<

we then took a taxi from our hotel to the other island of Macau. when the taxi was on the bridge over to the other island, we had a good view of Macau Tower! We didnt go visit it on our trip because we reckoned there wasnt much to see there. Initially, we were so excited about the bungee jump they had at Macau Tower but after we found out about the prices.... sigh... we decided we'll come back some day when we're rich enough to go for it. Bungee jump is alr on my bucket list! must attempt it one day!

spotted a really nice-looking church on a hill~

Reached Senado Square! there werent many ppl there when we reach. maybe it was too hot.
it was soooo hot and i forgot to bring my umbrella. =___=
I now have a tan due to the amount of sun we got during our 5 day trip. surprisingly, i'm quite happy with my tan now. i've always liked having a slight tan~

her dress looks sooo niceeee~

a mix of old and new~

we were hungry and started hunting for a nice restaurant to eat. ended up having McDeees~
McD's breakfast in Macau had different choices! I ordered this grilled chicken with soup set.
it was quite yummy! I loved the sweet corn~ and they had milk tea!
the serving was big too so i was so full after finishing everything.

We continued walking a bit and reached St. Dominic's Church!

i admire all the tiled floors~

we avoided the sun whenever we could. hehe

the interior of St. Dominic's Church. it was so peaceful.

the altar.  i wonder if they still use the church for masses and events....

there was a museum called the Treasure of Sacred Art Museum upstairs.

a HUGE rosary. i wonder who used this.... it must've be difficult to even carry it around.

the old and ancient vestments of priests...

the streets of Macau. i think this was the only time we kinda got lost for a few minutes.
a tip for everyone, around tourist spots like this in Macau, just follow the crowd and you wont get lost.
on this street, we noticed less tourists and more locals so we knew we were on the wrong street. LOL

this looks more like it right? with all the tourists and busy shops and promoters around.

we walked along that street where there was many shops and we checked out a few shops on the way too.
then we reached our destination!

the Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral!

it was so sunny and the sun was literally blinding us and poor Yx's eyes started getting all teary.

during our trip, we rarely took any photos that has the 2 of us in one frame.
and this has all the ppl in our background. LOL but we then walked up the stairs and became other ppl's background. kekeke

a close up shot and still couldnt manage to edit out the umbrella ishhh
the view of the other side!

although it was extremely hot and humid, but the sky was in such a pretty shade of blue~

there was also a mini museum (WITH AIRCOND!!!)

 the back view!

we climbed up these stairs in order to reach the top of the hill~

half-way up! we were the only two ppl walking up LOL. i think there was another way up. no one wanted to climb stairs on a summer's day...

reached! We didnt visit the museum though.

we rested here a bit and bought something to drink.

Macau's flag~

 "Fire!"

 the clouds looked so nicee

the entrance to the museum had air-cond. so we sat and cooled ourselves down.

we had to leave the precious air cond eventually... so we continued walking on the busy streets of Macau and turned into some quieter streets to check out what was around the area.

 their streets are really clean~

i like the tiled balconies~ it was a pop of colour among all the other buildings.

we then took a bus to Fisherman's Wharf.
there wasnt much to see or do there, so totally not worth going....
and it was so hot!!!! I just kept complaining......
this is a photo of the view of the bridge that links the two islands of Macau.

but there was a lot of fake architecture... so here are some photos.

you can also see the ferry terminal on the left!

after walking around under the hot sun, we got kinda frustrated. and we couldnt decide on whether to go straight back to our hotel or go back to where we were before.
the weather just made us not want to do anything. basically, we were tired and restless.

In the end, we took a bus back to where all the shops were at.
and we tried out the local pork buns~ the shop in the photo above, apparently, is where Goo Hyesun and Kim Hyunjoong visited when they were filming Boys Over Flowers!
we didnt buy our buns from this shop though. they were playing the scene where they were buying egg tarts so i was like, "wah.... kim hyunjoong was here." LOL

We then spotted a 許留山Hui Lau Shan and decided to have some desserts since the weather was killing us! it was actually my first time trying it out and I loved it~~~

I rmb the shop being really cold coz of the AC and i was literally shivering. some more we were eating the desserts but once we stepped out of the shop, it was super hot again. the difference between temperatures were so extreme...

After that, we decided to head back to our hotel to freshen up a bit. then we went down to the lobby to utilize the free wifi again and spent the rest of the night strolling around The Venetian~
Yx tried to purchase a pair of Birkenstock but failed.... kekeke if you saw my Vine, you'd alr know~ kekeke

ppl who has watched the episode of Running Man where they went to Macau, do you rmb this view?

i purposely re-watched this episode again to screencap these images because i was very sure they came here! this is at our hotel btw~

did you notice the same light decorations as well??? hehehe

the beautiful night view of Cotai Central~

our hotel!
another screen cap!

it was really relaxing to walk around the shops at The Venetian at night as there wasnt much of a crowd~
we really wished we could just stay there forever~
but the air cond there was really cold too.... and i was lazy to bring my cardigan out...

used a bit more wifi and then headed back to our room~
took this photo basically just too see how my dress looked from behind LOL

the long corridor. i wonder how the person that gets the room at the end of the corridor would feel....
how long does he need walk until he reaches his room.... LOL

more caps from Running Man LOL

XDDD we were literally drop dead tired by the end of the day kekekeke

ugh i miss the beds at Sheraton~~~ they were so comfy~ we watched tv and didnt want to sleep LOL

lying in bed and enjoying life~ hehehe

so that's it for day 2 of my trip!
day 3 was when we went to Hong Kong!
will try to get it up asap~
although i'm at home all day, i still seem to be very busy LOL
I've caught up on Taemin and Naeun's WGM episodes~~~~ ugh they are so cute~~~~
watching these things makes me want a boyfriend too..... LOL
I watched WGM for Naeun but Taemin just managed to make me swoon all over him whenever he smiles LOL
okay that's all. i'm still waiting for my TV to be repaired.... TT___TT it's in a coma right now and may never make it out of the shop.... TT____TT my poor TV.... please dont die on me....
