June 2013 Vacation : Day 3 HONG KONG!

Day 3! We left our amazing hotel and went to Hong Kong!
Luckily Sheraton Hotel had shuttle bus services to the ferry terminal so we didnt need to spend a penny on transport!

 On the ferry!

We reached Hong Kong at around noon and there was so many ppl at the immigration and the queues were so long.
From there, we walked to our guesthouse~ we had a map with us so we didnt get lost but the roads around Tsim Sha Tsui were quite easy to get around.

The small guesthouse we stayed at for 2 nights is called Hop Inn!

some of the interior of our room~ from their website i saw that they have different designs for each room.
our room was very small but still had enough place for our luggage so it was okay.
the toilet was really small though and there wasnt a door, just shower curtains. LOL.

we didnt manage to get much sleep during our stay there.
so we were laughing at how we didnt want to get out of bed in Macau but in HK, we couldnt even get more sleep when we wanted to.

We actually had lunch before we checked in because our room wasnt ready yet when we first arrived.
I had roast duck at a restaurant a few shops away from the guesthouse. It was really nice. I normally dont eat the skin of roast chicken/duck, but i finished eating everything that day.
We then took the MTR to Central~ which is on the other island of HK where all the high-rises are located.
once we walked out of the MTR station, we were surrounded by high-rise buildings and it was a totally different view compared to Tsim Sha Tsui.

the weather was good but extremely hot.
we decided to check out the queue for The Peak Tram first and just walking there alr made us sweat.
since we planned to go up to The Peak in the evening, we still had time to walk around the Central area.

we stopped by briefly at this church named St. John's Cathedral.
it was so peaceful inside. we actually didnt know there was a church there. I saw a sign and suggested we pop in and have a look at it. it was beautiful~

have i ever mentioned how much i adore stained glass? i want to have them in my future home~

a part of the church building.

we then walked over to a busier part of Central where all the shops were at.
we passed by a lot of high-end shops before we got to the other shops.

i just had to take a photo of the MCM store~

all the stairs and hilly roads in HK.
we went window shopping at bit before we headed over to The Peak Tram.

it was hot and humid and crowded. we were tired and restless once again.
but i guess everyone were like us who chose to go up to the Peak in the evening where you get toenjoy both the day view and night view of HK's skyline.

and here it is!!! The view from the sky terrace! this was when it was close to 7pm i think.

all the lights started turning on!
i tried using my phone to take panoramic view but kinda failed....
 mansion on the mountain top!

this is the view of the other side of the Sky Terrace. so much more peaceful right?

the last time i visited The Peak, it was in the morning/afternoon, and now thinking back, it was such a waste because the night view is so much nicer!

when will be the next time i visit HK?

this is how the Sky Terrace looks like! We had a nice and simple dinner at one of the shops where one of the waiters was acting like a douche LOL

we then took a bus down from the peak to Central and our next stop was... Lan Kwai Fong!

I dunno whether it was because it was a week day or whether we were there too early (but we went there around 9 something pm), but Lan Kwai Fong wasnt as happening as we imagined it to be... as you can see from the photo, there wasnt much of a crowd.

we then walked around to check out the bars around the area and decided to go into a bar called Chocolate. i guess we or maybe mainly i chose it because of its name LOL. but no, i guess we saw that the atmosphere inside was nice and it wasnt too crowded for a place to sit and relax and talk.

I ordered a drink called Chocolate Covered Strawberry, it's one of their specialties, if i didnt rmb wrongly.
I'm not sure what was inside the drink, but i'm sure there was chocolate and vodka.
I know it may not look or sound nice but it was good~ the lady sitting at the table beside us ordered two of it.
Yongxuan ordered a.... drink with lychee in it. i dont rmb its name. i took a sip and liked it too~

after we paid our bill, the waitress came over and gave us two chocolate shots and said it was on the house!
once again, i dont know what was in it, but it was nice and sweet. cant even rmb how strong they were. not very i guess.
personally, i think this a place girls would prefer, coz from the menu i could see that most drinks were on the sweeter side. i enjoyed it~ and no, we didnt get drunk. XD

We then continued walking around the area and on the way to the MTR station, we spotted a Cotton On and decided to go in and they were having a lot of sales going on, so we shopped!
It was so nice to shop at night when there was less ppl and the weather was nicer too~ We tried shopping at H&M in the afternoon but there was so many ppl around so it was hard.
We then headed back to our guesthouse!
Our legs were hurting like crazy by then.... walking around HK the whole day is no joke....

last post on June 2013 Vacation will be up next~~~~
I finished watching the first season of Broadchurch today! If you're interested in those detective/ case-solving series, you should watch it! if you like Harper's Island like i did, you'll like Broadchurch!
Harper's Island was a lot more scarier though. I rmb freaking out while watching Harper's Island LOL
Feel like watching it again but it's no fun watching it when you alr know who's the killer.
okay, done, good night!
