In the month of May~

May was a great month for me. The beginning of it wasn't the best though due to the exams but I got through it alive after pulling a few all-nighters! Then the fun started~ Let's look back to the month of May through these photos!

This was the day we all gathered to study Marketing in the library. I was so tired and stressed out from the other exams that has passed so I just had to pull out my Beautiful Show tee to wear. And when my hair is up, you know that I was just too lazy to wash my hair. kekeke

On the last day of exams! Our last paper was Marketing. I dressed up a bit because we were going to celebrate after the paper ended!

Group selfie in the toilet after the exam! hahaha

so thankful to have these girls by my side.
Sue and I pulled a all-nighter for our Business and Society exam because we were doing the same (pre-seen) essay question. However, in the end, I was so tired that I probably forgot half of my essay... TT_____TT never going to pull an all-nighter again

At the pub near uni for our end-of-exams celebration!!! Poor Sue looks so tired but she's still so cute~

After our huge meal and beers, Phuong and Francesca ordered cocktails (which were just too sweet coz they cheap)

These cuties~ Phuong and Nia :)))
We ordered even more cocktails!

kekekeke :3

it was so so busy in the pub because it was a Friday night and all the alcohol didnt make me drunk but it made me so tired. I had a really good night's sleep that night.

I stayed indoors almost everyday ever since the exams ended~ and just chilled and caught up on all the TV shows I've missed and sacrificed during the exams

and I cooked curry. ugh i miss curry so so much. and my flatmates cook it almost everyday. I finally cooked one myself! but it was those ready made paste where you only need to add in the meat and vege hahaha

And I bought these pretty paper lantern decor lights which run on solar energy~ i was contemplating for so long whether to buy them or not coz they werent the cheapest but I really love them so much so I caved and bought it!

I also went to register myself at the Whitechapel public library and borrowed these books. I reserved lots of books at the library once I registered. I didnt really enjoy the Kazuo Ishiguro book but he has another book that I waiting to read.
John Green's Looking For Alaska was okayyy for me. The climax part was a page-turner but other than that, it was kinda boring for me. I'm also reading An Abundance of Katherines at the moment but I'm not enjoying it either. My favourtite book of Green's has to be Paper Towns. If you get the chance, please read it~
Tell the Wolves I'm Home is a great book. I loved it so so much. I cant really say what it's all about because I dont think I'll be able to describe it to you well because i'm so bad with words but I always read book reviews from Bookswept. I loved it because of all the different relationships in the book. The relationship between siblings; between parents and child; between a niece and uncle; and a friendship linked together by a special love one.

Oh this... You must be wondering what this whole mess is. If you follow my twitter you must have known that I went for an interview for a job at a whole sale company about a month ago. This is their shop/warehouse/office. The lady that interviewed me was really nice and she me gave a chance to go work there a few hours as a trial session but I had to reject her. I'm not picky or anything (because I really needed a job) but this job really wasn't for me. I would fear going to work everyday if i took the position. Jsyk, the position was to be responsible of all the admin stuff, do a lot of selling and persuading, and lots of other small jobs here and there. It a very serious job and you had to be very committed to sales and targets and stuff so I just wasnt that interested. If it was something I love that I was selling, I might have took it but not wholesale.

This might not look very appetizing but I cooked a beef chlli con carne the other day~ And it was delicious and I ate it with couscous mmmm yum yum

One day last month, my friend Auntie Veronica invited me to join her to go see a play/theater because my aunt was supposed to go with her but my aunt made last minute plans to go to China so she had an extra ticket. We reached the theater early so we walked along the South Bank for a bit.

The set of the play~ It was my first time seeing a play! It was called A Small Family Business and it was hilarious and I enjoyed it but I couldnt get some of the British humour LOL

the London Eye from afar at night. I love the city at night. Too bad there's no one to go on night strolls with me at night.....

The next event of the month was MCM Comic Con at ExCel London at the Royal Victoria Dock!
I was supposed to meet a friend there but somehow it didnt happen.
But LOL at this selfie with Nia and the photobombers in the background

Some girls did some performances dancing and lip-syncing along to Japanese songs. I'm sorry I dont know more about the Japanese culture....

There were a lot of people gathered at the exhibition hall for the event that day and obviously there were lots of cosplayers. These were two of the really nice ones.
The girl in the white gown is cosplaying Giselle from Enchanted~

Our wristbands.... notice anything funny? I was given the "Junior" wristband although I paid for the general one. If I looked so much like a kid that I shouldve just bought the junior one then!

People were playing Yu Gi Oh cards and Pokemon cards here! All the memories of playing with my brothers while we were kids all rushed to my mind while I saw this~

A photo with the weird-looking Pikachu kekekeke

We got out of the exhibition hall because it was just getting wayyyy to crowded. It really gave me a headache just being there. So we made our way to the outdoor area and there were more cosplayers!
Took a photo with the stormtroopers! fyi, I'm not that big of a fan of Star Wars but Nigel is so I took this photo just to make him jealous muahahahaha

This was what the black stormtroopers were doing to people who asked to take photos with them!

When i asked for a photo, they said, "We havent scared you away huh?" I was like, "Am I supposed to be scared?" LOL  They were cool.

More of their tricks hahahaha

Nia took a photo with Anna! She looks so similar right?

With this young one~

I dont know if you can see but I used an old foundation that day and it's way too dark for my skin... Even now where I'm a bit tanned from my trip to Italy, it's still too dark for me.... :( I dont want to throw it away though. Need to get a new one once I have the money....

This was during another outing with my friend Auntie Veronica~ She's probably the kindest person I know. She took me to a Malaysian restaurant called Rasa Sayang and I ordered Laksa and it was yummy! I'm so annoyed with myself for not taking a photo of my food to show you guys.
After that, we went to Oxford Street and Veronica did some shopping. And she bought me a few tops for summer as well~

This is along Whitechapel road~ I love that you can see the city from here. And from another angle, you'd be able to see the Shard.

The next exciting event was the day I went to the Victoria and Albert museum! They were having a special night opening event and it was all about Korean culture and I dont have any friends really interested in that so I went alone which wasnt that bad. I really enjoyed that day.

And I decided to curl my hair that day~ I'm still not very skilled at curling my hair with my straightener but it turned out okay.

Before I went to the V&A Museum, I dropped by Harrods because I havent been here since I came to the UK. I rmb I went there with my uncle years ago but it has changed so much since then.

I really want to learn more about chocolates and become a chocolatier. That's my dream. kekekeke

Made it to the V&A Museum!

The pattern and combination of colours of this kimono really attracted me.

These apparently was taken from Rome! If I'm not mistaken, these are from the Trajan ruins in Rome.
And they are huge!

I actually quite enjoyed walking around the museum alone. Taking my own sweet time to enjoy everything in it.

The famous Chihuly glass. I remember it very clearly because it's origin is from Seattle.

I love these kinda gothic metal works.

This kinda sums up what I studied in Business and Society and Organisational Behaviour.

Don't you just love stain glasses? So beautiful.

This is one amazing monstrance.

They had a section with a clothing exhibition as well which was very interesting. They also had a wedding dress exhibition going on at the museum but you had to pay to see it....

The time has come where the night-opening event started! It started with very loud k-pop music. I wanted to take a photo of the DJ but it was too dark. I havent been in London long enough to know but I think he's a famous DJ who specialises in k-pop music. He definitely knew his music really well, he played a great playlist of kpop songs.

Trying to sneak an OOTD in the toilet but failed to find a full length mirror. I will probably live in this denim jacket for the whole summer and fall.

They had a special event where they invited a famous korean director named Yoon Seok Ho, who directed k-dramas like Winter Sonata and Love Rain to give a talk on the Hallyu Wave going on at the moment all around the world.

That's him. The talk was held in this small library but because they didnt have a mic, most of us couldnt really hear clearly what he was saying.

By the time the talk was over and after I walked around a bit more around the museum and headed back to the main entrance area, there was a dance floor formed by a lot of (mostly) teenage k-pop fans.

I dont know what exactly this is but it was just a red mesh cloth which symbolises good luck.

That's all for the month of May. Slowly working and blogging towards my trip to Italy. There's loads to blog about and other events like me finally getting a job! That whole story will be in the next blog post.
I'm too hungry to blog anymore now. It's 3pm and I havent eaten anything yet.
Byeee x
