Easter Adventure Day 2: Canal Cruise

So this post continues on from the last, where we went to Keukenhof Garden~
After the garden, we took the shuttle bus back to Amsterdam. I was so tired after that half day of walking around in the cold so I had to get coffee before we headed back to our hotel to rest and recoup a bit before heading out again at around 3.30pm.

The next highlight of the day was the canal cruise we took around the city. If you read most of the travel guides online, everyone recommends taking a canal cruise when you go to Amsterdam. I would say it's not a must but it's certainly a very nice and relaxing thing to do; it's a nice experience and you get a see the city from a different view. Plus, if you were like us and didn't have the time to really walk all around the city, this allows you to soak in all the beautiful scenery and unique architecture within an hour. If you've been walking all day, this is the perfect way to rest your legs and just sit back and enjoy the view!

I just love all the huge windows on these Dutch houses.

The Anne Frank Museum.

The Anne Frank House.

After that, we walked through the Red Light District and got something to eat but didn't take much photos. We got lost for a bit so I think we didn't really get to see everything around the area lol.

These were not nice at all. But it was our fault; we went to a lousy shop that was selling it because we were too hungry. I ended up getting a falafel wrap later on before heading back to the hotel lol.

After that horrible waffle, we went to a big souvenir store and I only bought some really nice postcards to add to my collection~
